Which Is Blocking You?

Have you ever tried to catch a ball, only to get blocked by someone?


You can’t help but feel disappointed because you nearly reached your outcome to catch the ball, but you didn’t.


People face blocks all the time. It’s a part of life.


You are on my email list because you have a desire to live a great life ~ unblocked.


Today, I wanted to talk about the 3 biggest blocks you will face in life.


Being able to identify and anticipate these will save you a ton of time and heartache in life...who doesn't want that?


1. Internal
The first block, and the one that gives us the most agency to change, is our internal blocks.


These are the thoughts/beliefs we have about ourselves, our life, and our ability to experience what we desire.


You will face this block pretty much every moment you are alive ~ which may sound dreadful, but it can actually be fun when we see those thoughts/beliefs as just clouds passing by.


The fastest way to grow beyond this block is to question every single thought you have….ask the question “Is this thought absolutely true?"


….just because it’s a thought in your head, doesn’t mean it’s true.

 

2. External
The second block you will face are the things that are out of your control —these are things like the weather and what other people are doing (2020 has definitely shown us how little is in our control!)


Just like internal blocks, you will face external blocks pretty much every moment you are alive ~ again, it sounds dreadful but….


The fastest way to grow beyond this block is to remember that the only things in the external world that have the power to impact your internal world are the things you ALLOW and then to do the mental work to make the situation work FOR you, instead of against you.


When you make a decision that nothing external has permission to shake your internal world, things begin to shift massively.


3. Energetic
The third block you will face is energetic ~ these are the trapped emotions and trauma that keep you stuck in a thought/belief/memory.

 

These blocks are always there but become really present when you do all of the work on mindset and external work with seemingly no shifts.


The fastest way to grow beyond this block is to release the trapped energy through some kind of somatic healing…whether it's through journaling, screaming into a pillow, going to a rage room or through Body Code sessions with me.


Once those trapped emotions and trauma are released, it’s much easier to have not to get caught up in the mental and external blocks.


So, the next time you feel blocked, ask yourself if it’s mental, external, or energetic then do the work to release those blocks!
